As a longtime community advocate, I work daily at the grassroots level—empowering youth through educational support, leadership development, and mentorship. My direct work with young people gives me a firsthand view of the challenges families face, including access to education, healthcare, housing, and public safety.
My presence in Opelika’s neighborhoods has helped build deep trust and strong relationships with residents across the city.
Youth Empowerment
Supporting young people isn’t just part of my work—it’s at the heart of why I serve. I mentor, guide, and help create pathways to opportunity. I believe that when we invest in our youth, we invest in the future of Ward 2 and all of Opelika.
Community Health & Safety
In 2020, I partnered with local groups to assess the need for crosswalks and sidewalks in high-traffic areas. After presenting the data to city officials, I was proud to see crosswalks implemented in the Jeter and Carver neighborhoods the following year.
As the founder of Compassionate Hands of Hope, Inc., I launched Glow for Epilepsy, a citywide awareness and training event inspired by my son’s journey. This event helps first responders and the community better understand epilepsy and other disabilities. It also played a role in launching Opelika Police Department’s S.A.F.E.R. program.
Civic Leadership
I co-organized Opelika’s Juneteenth march and celebration, uniting residents across racial and social lines in a powerful demonstration of justice and solidarity.
I currently serve on the Opelika Character Council, and I’m proud to be the 2024–2025 Board Chair for the Opelika Chamber of Commerce’s 20 Under 40. I also serve on several other community boards and collaborate regularly with city departments, local nonprofits, and businesses to advance positive change.
Why I Lead
My leadership is rooted in lived experience, compassion, and a deep belief in what’s possible when we work together. I listen first. I build bridges. And I take action—with the goal of creating a more inclusive, connected, and forward-moving Opelika.
Let’s Move Forward Together
Opelika deserves empathetic, results-driven leadership. I bring the experience, heart, and determination to move Ward 2—and our entire city—Upward and Forward, Together.

BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER
My mission is to bridge the gaps in Ward 2 by advocating for youth, promoting safer neighborhoods, supporting seniors, expanding access to affordable housing, strengthening education, and connecting residents to vital resources. I’m committed to moving upward and forward — building a more inclusive, empowered, and prosperous Ward 2.
